PADI TecRec courses are the quality benchmarks in the technical diving world due to their rigorous, yet logical training sequence and the PADI educational materials that support them. TecRec courses are instructionally valid and have a seamless course flow that takes you from an entry-level technical diver to one qualified to dive to the outer reaches of sport diving. Each level introduces you to new equipment and procedures to extend your dive limits.

Tec Basics This course is the first step towards becoming a technical diver and a pre-requisite for any technical diving student that has never dived in doubles or in a technical sidemount (see Tec Sidemount Diver for details) configuration before. It introduces a recreational diver in the setup and use of back-mounted technical diving equipment. Tec Sidemount Diver Sidemount is an increasingly popular way for recreational as well as technical divers to configure their cylinders due to its comfort and versatility. This course covers all aspects of Sidemount diving from basic equipment set-up and a two-cylinder configuration up to the use of multiple stage/decompression cylinders.
Tec 40 The PADI TecRec Tec 40 course is an entry-level course for divers that wish to expand their diving skills and knowledge beyond the recreational diving limits. It builds upon skills learned in the Tec Basics course, expanding upon emergency procedures, learning to perform gas switches as well as handling of a stage / decompression cylinder. Theory lectures include the risks involved in technical diving, problem solving, planning and execution of a decompression dive, gas calculations and more. Tec 45 The PADI TecRec Tec 45 course is the second course in the series of PADI’s TecRec courses. It builds upon the knowledge and skills earned in the Tec 40 course and introduces you to diving at depths beyond the limits of recreational diving. Dealing with increased oxygen exposures, planning dives with accelerated decompression and handling greater decompression requirements are part of this course. Tec 50 The PADI TecRec Tec 50 course is the last course in the Tec Deep Diver series of courses. It takes the skills learned in the Tec 45 course and builds upon them, introducing dealing with two different decompression gases, executing multiple gas switches, complex logistics of longer dives, problem solving and emergency scenarios. Tec Trimix 65 Whilst certified technical divers can explore much greater depths than recreational divers, there are still limits due to the increased gas narcosis as well as toxic effects of Oxygen under pressure at depth. For those wanting to venture even deeper, breathing Trimix becomes a must in order to manage these two effects at depth. The Tec Trimix 65 course is the first part in becoming a Tec Trimix Diver. Tec Trimix Diver This is the final module in the range of technical diving courses and it will take you to the outer edge of technical diving. You will be able to join the ranks of the few divers qualified to explore and expand the boundaries of diving.
Trimix Gas Blender The number of Enriched Air and technical divers is steadily increasing, which means that the demand for Enriched Air or Trimix gas blends will grow too. Whether you are a recreational or a technical diver, you may be wondering how your mixed gases are being prepared. This course teaches you how to blend Nitrox and Trimix blends accurately and safe. Tec Support Diver Often, recreational divers wonder how they can efficiently assist technical divers in their dives. This distinctive specialty is designed to give divers the knowledge, skills and techniques to safely support technical divers during their decompression dives.
